This week, Celebrating Our Musical Future (Monday 8 pm) heads to Northwestern University just north of Chicago for a performance by the Bienen Contemporary/Early Vocal Ensemble led by Donald Nally, who is also founder and director of the Philadelphia-based choral ensemble The Crossing. This concert was presented last March in memory of the music of Danish composer who was labeled as the “established-outsider” of Danish Music, Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, who passed away last June. The young choristers perform a wide spectrum of his vocal music ranging from 1970 to 2014.
