A Tempo: Musicians Release CD to Celebrate Parents' Musical Legacy

Robert and James Freeman have spent their lives as musicians and music educators. They attribute their passion for music and their rewarding careers to the early start their parents - Henry and Florence Knope Freeman - gave them. The brothers have now released a CD featuring works they commissioned to celebrate their parents' legacy, comprised of works composed by Kevin Puts, Gunther Schuller and Andrea Clearfield, and this Saturday (12/19 at 7 pm) on A Tempo, host Rachel Katz will speak with Robert, who served as director of the Eastman School of Music for 24 years, and James, founder of Philadelphia-based Orchestra 2001, about the CD, their parents' careers, and their commitment to new music.

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
