A Musical "Mirror" on Between the Keys, May 25th & 26th

For this week’s episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor/Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, The Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler constructs his program in the form of a mirror.

“The premise is simple,” Distler explains. “The first and last pieces are Schubert songs transcribed for piano.  The second work is by John Cage, as is the second from last work.  Then the third work is by Poulenc, while the third from last selection is also by Poulenc. And so on.”

Featured pianists include Jerome Lowenthal, Konstantin Scherbakov, Margaret Leng Tan, Julie Steinberg, former Between the Keys guest Steven Spooner and more.

Tune in to Between the Keys, Tuesday May 25th at 10:00 PM, with a rebroadcast Wednesday May 26th at Noon, exclusively on The Classical Network and
