Between the Keys goes “Fearless” on November 30th and December 1st

As live performances continue to come back, The Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler devotes this week’s episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys to previewing an upcoming concert event.

Distler will join fellow pianists and Steinway artists Meral Guneyman and Christopher O’Riley for “Fearless,” an evening of piano transcriptions, Saturday December 4th at 7:30 PM at the Times Center, 242 West 41st Street, New York, NY.

“Meral has weaved a remarkable and quite personal program around the music life of David Bowie through his songs, through composers he admired like Richard Strauss and Igor Stravinsky, and through his friend Philip Glass, whose “Low” Symphony is based on Bowie’s songs,” says Distler. The program also features Distler's Thelonious Monk arrangements for two pianos.
