Musician, Educator and Composer Bill McGlaughlin was a beloved host known to public radio audiences around the country, hosting favorite programs including Exploring Music and St. Paul Sunday. He passed away in July at the age of 82.
In addition to his nationally syndicated programs, Bill also hosted two shows exclusively for The Classical Network. From 2017-2020, he co-hosted PostClassical, a bi-monthly program that featured performances by the Washington DC-based PostClassical Ensemble, along with the ensemble's Music Director Angel Gil Ordonez and music historian Joseph Horowitz, PostClassical's Executive and Artistic Director. During the Covid pandemic, Bill and his longtime partner Karrin Allyson hosted the B&K Café, an eclectic mix of music shared and served with cozy conversation.
Through November 12, The Classical Network will share encores of select episodes of these programs as we remember Bill's passion for exploring and sharing music.
