Picture Perfect: March 23 - Medieval Times
For Early Music month, it’s a tapestry of music from movies set in the Middle Ages, including “Becket” (Laurence Rosenthal), “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” (Alfred Newman), “The Warlord” (Jerome Moross), and “The Lion in Winter” (John Barry). Barry’s score, an intriguing blend of old and new, won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1968. There’s nothing middling about this music.
