It's an all Machaut program on Friday night's Distant Mirror. We begin with the Notre Dame Mass, the first complete ordinary of the mass by a single composer, Jeremy Summerly directs the Oxford Camerata in a performance most consider definitive since it was recorded at Rheims cathedral where the mass was first performed in 1362. Then in the second part of the hour hear several of Machaut's songs with Gothic Voices directed by Christopher Page. Join Allan Kelly at 10pm.
