The Lost Chord: December 8 - Sibelius, Incidentally

On the birthday of Jean Sibelius, look past the monumental symphonies for a sampling of some of the music he composed for the theater – including an historic 1932 recording of selections written for the play “Belshazzar’s Feast,” with Robert Kajanus conducting, and a more recent, digital premiere of the complete incidental music for “Everyman,” made under the baton of Osmo Vänskä.  Sibelius treads the boards, this Sunday at 10 pm.
