On this week’s episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, the Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler explores the legacy of Clara Schumann as teacher and composer. Pianists Lara Downes and Susanne Grützmann will be heard in Clara Schumann’s original piano works. In addition, Distler will present rare recordings by pianists Natalia Janotha, Adelina de Lara, Ilona Eibenschutz and Fanny Davies, all of whom studied with Madame Schumann.
