These two episodes feature music from a series recorded live in Washington DC with PostClassical Ensemble called 'Native American Inspirations' - music of the American Indianist Movement from the late 19th and early 20th century, focusing on the music of Arthur Farwell and also music from contemporary composers of Native American heritage part of the South Dakota Symphony's Lakota Project. PostClassical regular hosts author and music historian and co-founder of Post Classical Ensemble Joseph Horowitz, the Music Director of PostClassical Ensemble Maestro Angel Gil-Ordonez and the host of Exploring Music Bill McGlaughlin are joined by the Music Director of the South Dakota Symphony Delta David Gier and baritone William Sharp.
