We’ll be getting you ready for Valentine’s Day on this week’s Dress Circle (2/9 7:00 p.m.) with a musical cautionary tale about what might just happen if you forget to get that special someone a gift in “Love Goes Wrong Songs.” There may just be some simple misunderstandings like “What Did I Ever See in Him?” or different viewpoints found in “Old Fashioned Wedding” and “Oh, Happy We” or downright conflicts like “You’re a Liar” and “I Hate Men.” We'll try to cover as many other possibilities as we can along the way.
Besides shows like “Bye, Bye Birdie,” “Candide,” “Do, Re, Mi,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Wildcat,” and “Whoop-up,” we’ll hear some complaints and accusations from “A Little Night Music,” “Kiss Me Kate,” “Calamity Jane,” “I Do! I Do!” and more. It’ll be an hour of what “may be” on this week’s program. Whether or not you’ll need the reminder, it sure can be fun to listen to others bicker for once, especially in song!
