The Peabody Symphony Orchestra will be led by the director of ensembles the young maestro Joseph Young in the Symphony No. 2 ‘Romantic’ by American composer Howard Hanson and then be joined by Peabody student cellist Mafalda Sofia Santos in the Cello Concerto by Sir Edward Elgar. Also, on the program the Symphony No. 40 of Mozart performed by the Peabody Chamber Orchestra led by legendary pianist & conductor and teacher at Peabody for 60 years, Leon Fleisher.
