Maestro Stern has compiled a program from Iris Orchestra archive performances of two 2nd Symphonies, the rarely heard Symphony No 2 by Schubert and the life-affirming Symphony No. 2 by Schumann. A brand new work by the composer/pianist uber-talented Conrad Tao commissioned by Iris…a work inspired by a tune by American Blues Legend Charley Patton and then the jazz-inspired ballet ‘Creation of the World’ by Darius Milhaud.
