This second of three broadcasts marking the milestoneand 20th anniversary of Iris Orchestra led by its founder and Artisic Director Maestro Michael Stern finds Maestro Stern joining David Osenberg, via zoom, to celebrate. This program focuses on Iris Orchestra’s recorded legacy and features music of Andre Caplet with harpist Elizabeth Hainen as soloist and then three American works, two of them Iris commissions: The Symphony No. 1 of Jonathan Leshnoff, the Double Concerto by Ned Rorem with Jaime Laredo & Sharon Robinson as soloist and Stephen Hartke’s Landscape with Blues composed for and performed by clarinetist Richard Stoltzman.
