Its home destroyed after Hurricane Ida's floodwaters surged through downtown Lambertville, Roxey Ballet is returning to the stage, albeit a temporary one, this month to present its first live Nutcracker in two years. The ballet company had been preparing for its post-pandemic season this past Fall when Ida struck, destroying its studio and school. This Saturday on A Tempo (11/27 at 7 pm), host Rachel Katz speaks with founder and artistic/executive director Mark Roxey about recovery efforts and its upcoming performances. This week's program also includes an interview with Sarah K. Chaplin, president and CEO of New Brunswick's State Theatre New Jersey, about its recent renovations (see photos below).
