We’re back at Covent Garden for this week’s Sunday Opera (8/24 3:00 p.m.) and the Royal Opera House production of Puccini’s “Turandot” featuring Sondra Raadvanovsky in the titular role and Seokjong Baek as Calaf.

A Tempo Saturday (7/19) features a conversation with Diana Byer, who has wrapped up nearly four decades as director of the New York Theatre Ballet School.

A Tempo this Saturday (7/6 at 7 pm) talks with Ballet X Co-Founder and Artistic and Executive Director Christine Cox about how a generous donation will speed up its long- and short-term dreams.

A Tempo this week features a conversation with Tallchief’s daughter about the ballerina’s legacy, and the significance of the coins’ release to the Osage Nation, of which Tallchief was a member.

This weeks' Sunday Opera is actually two one-act operas by George Benjamin followed by a grand ballet, We'll begin with "Picture a Day Like This" followed by a retelling of "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" entitled "Into the Little Hill." After the opera, we turn to Prokofiev and his delightful ballet "Cinderella."

We've turned to seven musicals this week for some ballets from shows like "On Your Toes," "Babes in Arms," and "Li'l Abner" as well as extended dances from two others.

A Tempo this Saturday (10/7 at 7 pm) looks at the story behind a new work that will debut at American Repertory Ballet's season-opening performance next week.

A Tempo Saturday (9/23) featured a conversation with New York Theatre Ballet Artistic Director Steven Melendez and composer David K. Israel about Melendez's "Letters to My Father" series, and about a new documentary following Melendez's path from homeless shelter to professional ballet.

A Tempo Saturday (7/1 at 7 pm) looks at Ballet Hispánico's Instituto Coreográfico, whose latest participant is the first with a physical disability to take part.

This program is taking a second look at some of the numerous ballets found in Broadway musicals from the familiar, "Oklahoma!" to the totally forgotten, "Shangri-La."
