Diana Byer stepped down from her position as Director of the New York Theatre Ballet School and its LIFT program, which offers ballet lessons to children who are homeless or at-risk, this past June. She founded the school, along with the ballet company, in 1978. A Tempo host Rachel Katz chats with Byer about the programs she created and her commitment to carrying on the legacy of her mentor Margaret Crask and Enrico Cecchetii.
