Conservatory Faculty Recital: Soul Music, Past and Present
On Oct. 22 at 3:00 p.m. piano soloist Clipper Erickson will open the 2023-24 season of the Westminster Conservatory Faculty Recital Series. The recital, titled "Healing Music for the Soul," will take place in Hillman Performance Hall in the Marion Buckelew Cullen Center, 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton, New Jersey, 08540. The recital is open to the public free of charge.
The program will comprise Beethoven's Sonata No. 23 in F Minor, "The Appassionata"; Asi la vida, a new work by Wieslaw Rentowski; "Rocking, Ever Rocking" from Sonata No. 2 by Randy Bauer; three works by former Westminster Conservatory faculty member Laurie Altman, "Boogie Lux" from Sonata No. 8, Fugue in B-flat Minor, and That Day (A Remembrance – George Floyd); and two works by Frederic Chopin, the Nocturne in C-sharp Minor, opus 27, no. 1, and Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, opus 23.
