Redivivus Opera (RVO) is proud to announce a performance of J.S. Bach’s Schweiget stille, plaudert nicht BWV 211, better known as the Coffee Cantata, on Sunday November 13th 2:30PM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Freehold, NJ.

The cast includes Yasmine Swanson as Lieschen, Daniel Rotshteyn as Schlendrian, and Brit Montoro in a dual role as both the Narrator and the pianist. Bach’s playful composition incorporates the clever text of Christian Friedrich Henrici, under the pen name Picander. The cantata explores the strength of familial relationships and the questioning of blissful domesticity alongside the European obsession with the caffeinated elixir, coffee.

Suggested donation is $10 at the door. A light reception will follow the performance.
