Schumann's Rhenish Symphony evokes the Rhine River and the surrounding landscape. Drawing inspiration from Beethoven's Third and Sixth Symphonies, as well as Mendelssohn, the work reflects Schumann's lyrical style. The program opens with "Campos Flotantes" by composer Angélica Negrón, whose music was featured in the reopening of David Geffen Hall with the New York Philharmonic.

Violin faculty member Christina Bouey joins the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra in Korngold's Violin Concerto, marking her first appearance with the orchestra. Maestro Kynan Johns conducts. Watch the free livestream: https://go.rutgers.edu/livestream
