San Diego Symphony Returns to Carnegie Hall for the First Time in 10 Years

San Diego Symphony Returns to Carnegie Hall for the First Time in 10 Years

The concert will be the Orchestra’s first appearance at Carnegie Hall in ten years. The program includes NY premiere of a San Diego Symphony commission by composer Carlos Simon; Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5; and Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with soloist Alisa Weilerstein.

The performance takes place in a milestone season for San Diego Symphony—the orchestra helps open the Dia de los Muertos Festival at Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT) in Mexico and the 2023-24 season also features the highly anticipated return to its downtown home, Jacobs Music Center, following a multi-year renovation of the historic venue.
