Originally founded in 1892 as the Guards Symphony Orchestra, the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra became the national orchestra of Bulgaria in 1945 and has long established itself as one of the country’s leading cultural institutions. Conductor Nayden Todorov leads the orchestra in an all-Beethoven program including Coriolanus Overture, Piano Concerto No. 5, and Symphony No. 7.
