David Geffen Hall's Wu Tsai Theater, the revamped concert hall for The New York Philharmonic, was designed to have better acoustics and sight lines.

A Tempo this week (10/15) focuses on venues, looking at the recent renovation of David Geffen Hall by Lincoln Center and the New York Philharmonic, and an agreement that provides more access to Severance Music Center for Cleveland Institute of Music students.

During a performance, audiences are usually focused on the ensemble on the stage and the music being performed, but the venue can make a difference. A Tempo this week looks at two recent developments in venues - the renovation of David Geffen Hall by Lincoln Center and the New York Philharmonic, and an agreement between the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Cleveland Orchestra that will expand the CIM Orchestra's access to Severance Music Center. Host Rachel Katz speaks with Lincoln Center President and CEO Henry Timms and CIM President and CEO Paul Hogle.
