Sounds of the Season This Week on Sounds Choral

Brass instruments, bells and voices all have a certain sparkle that seems to resonate with this season of candles, twinkling lights and tinsel. This week on Sounds Choral, host Deborah Simpkin King shares seasonal music for various combinations of brass instruments, bells and voices. The program features Coventry Carol, Carol of the Bells, and settings of O Magnum Mysterium, with performances by the Westminster Concert Bell Choir and Westminster Williamson Voices, among others.

Deborah Simpkin King, Ph.D., is a choral conductor, new music advocate, and master teacher. She plays an active role in the vibrant Manhattan choral scene and serves the national and international music community through her guest conducting and body of published work.
