We decided that we really needed a bit of “happy holidays” right now, so we’re starting a series of programs centered around Thanksgiving on this week’s Dress Circle (11/10 7:00 p.m.) with a program about being “Home” for the holidays beginning with Thanksgiving.
Home is something that really is intangible. For some, it’s a place – a building. For others, it’s where one’s family, friends, or other loved ones can be found. Yet others, might feel that home is where they “fit in” and find a sense of belonging. For many, it’s where they find they need to return, especially for the holidays.
Through our playlist of fifteen songs, we’ll find “A Place Called Home,” the “Swamps of Home,” “The Music of Home,” and “Love in a Home.”
We’ve got three songs just about “Home,” and we’ll do some travelling with the “Goin’ Home Train” and with someone who says, “My Home Is a Highway.”
Our musicals include “Allegro,” “Once Upon a Mattress,” “Fanny,” “Li’L Abner,” “Fiorello,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “A Christmas Carol” among others.
Join us this Sunday as we kick off our programs for Thanksgiving and we’ll all come home for a happy hour of good songs.
