The Dress Circle: Celebrating Backwards Day

We’re a little early (and probably should be celebrating it after the fact), but January 31st is “Backwards Day,” and on this week’s Dress Circle (1/26 7:00 p.m.), we’ll turn to the musicals for songs about looking back, holding back, falling back, putting back, going back, and several more.

We’ve purposely looked at some musicals with which many listeners might not be familiar like “The Arcadians,” “Metropolis,” “Shout!”, “Divorce Me Darling,” “Moll Flanders,” “Nymph Errant,” and “Salad Days.”

Of course, there are a few more recognizable titles like “Li’l Abner,” “On a Clear Day,” “Show Boat,” “Bells Are Ringing,” and “Hello, Dolly!”, however some of those “back” songs might be new to you.

Join us for the many sides of “back” on this week’s Dress Circle!
