The Dress Circle: Chart Songs from Musicals

Although it doesn't happen as much as it once did, hit songs from the musicals do occasionally make the Billboard charts, and we'll be looking at a least a dozen of them on this week's Dress Circle (10/12 7:00 p.m.).

We're including three number one hits in Louis Armstrong's version of "Hello, Dolly!", The 5th Dimension's version of "Aquarius / Let the Sun Shine In" from "Hair," and "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from "Encanto."

Other songs and performers you may remember (if you’re of an age) include Ed Ames singing “My Cup Runneth Over” from “I Do! I Do!), Sammy Davis, Jr.’s version of “What Kind of Fool Am I?” from “Stop the World, I Want to Get Off,” “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again” from “Promises, Promises” performed by Dionne Warwick, and three chart appearances by Barbra Streisand singing songs from “Cats,” “West Side Story,” and “Funny Girl.”

There are more, but you’ll just have to tune in to see what they are, and their may be a few surprises!
