We’re going a bit “colloquial” on this week’s Dress Circle (7/19 7:00 p.m.) as we continue with our look at “I want” songs by turning to songs from a dozen shows that say “I wanna,” and as former English teachers, it really pains us to “wanna” do this.
This week you’ll hear about people who wanna be rich, great, loved, married, and good ‘n’ bad in songs from twelve stage and screen musicals including songs from shows which we’ve never used in the past years
Some wanna live each night; some wanna be in London, some wanna be Miss America, and one wants to be a producer.
Some of the shows we’ve included are “Stop the World I Want to Get Off,” “Mack and Mabel,” “The Producers,” “Miss Spectacular,” and “Make a Wish.”
The three musicals making their debut on this week’s program are “Venice,” “Among Friends,” and “Josiah for President,” and you’ll just have to tune in to find out who “wannas” what!
