Host Rob Kapilow this Monday (12/11) looks at the Jewish composers who wrote classic American Christmas songs.

Vocalists Gabrielle Stravelli and Michael Winther, along with choirs from the Kaufman Music Center's Special Music School, join host, composer, author and commentator Rob Kapilow for a unique songbook edition of What Makes it Great, recorded at its home, Merkin Hall, in 2019. Many popular Christmas songs, including 'White Christmas', 'Let It Snow', 'Silver Bells' and 'Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer', were written by Jewish composers, and their songs and stories are the focus of this encore broadcast. Listen Monday night at 8 pm.
