What Makes It Great- Britten- A Ceremony of Carols

Host Rob Kapilow takes us through the poetry and music that Benjamin Britten brought together in his A Ceremony of Carols this Friday at 8 pm, with a rebroadcast Saturday at 3 pm.

What Makes it Great welcomes harpist Karen Tay, the Accord Treble Choir and the Vox Nova Treble Choir of the Kaufman Music Center's Special Music School in his exploration
of Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols. Hear Kapilow walk us through what makes this holiday music shine, and then hear a full performance of the work, composed in 1942, which has become one of the best known and most performed works by the British composer. Listen Friday at 8 pm.
