The Dress Circle: Celebrating Foreign Language Month for March

Among several things, March is Foreign Language Month, and we’ll be celebrating that on this week’s Dress Circle (3/29 7:00 p.m.) with songs from some well-known English language musicals from some of their foreign language versions. Our languages include French, German, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Norwegian, and the ever popular, Icelandic.  The musicals include “Pinocchio,” “Annie,” “Sweet Charity,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “La Cage Aux Folles,” “West Side Story,” “Man of La Mancha,” “The Desert Song,” and “A Chorus Line” among others.  It’s a great deal of fun to hear the familiar sound somewhat unfamiliar, and we’ll be doing a great deal of that on this program.

Michael is program host and host of the WWFM Sunday Opera, Sundays at 3 pm, and co-host of The Dress Circle, Sundays at 7 pm.
