The Dress Circle: Songs from the Shows of May

May is the month of emeralds and lilies of the valley as well as some wonderful musicals opening in New York which we’ll showcase on this week’s Dress Circle (5/2 7:00 p.m.).   Our earliest opening this time is “Shuffle Along” from 1921 featuring music by Eubie Blake and Nobel Sissel, and we’ll jump to our last May Broadway opening in 2016 of Cirque du Soliel’s “Paramour.”   Once again, our roster includes some old favorites such as “The Pajama Game,” “Damn Yankees,” “Grease,” “Godspell,” and “Annie Get Your Gun.”  We’ll even visit off-Broadway with the month’s long-run winner, “The Fantasticks.”  Join us for a happy hour of song.

Michael is program host and host of the WWFM Sunday Opera, Sundays at 3 pm, and co-host of The Dress Circle, Sundays at 7 pm.
Ted Otten is co-host of The Dress Circle
