Xian Zhang conducts the Philharmonic in Haydn's Symphony No. 95 in C minor and Martinů's Incantation, Piano Concerto No. 4, H. 358, with soloist Garrick Ohlsson.
pianist Daniil Trifonov performs alongside the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and conductor Alan Gilbert in Ravel’s Piano Concerto. Two more French works fill out the program: Debussy’s La Mer and Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé.
Michael Barone hosts this program featuring music from the diverse repertoire for the organ.
Robert Aubry Davis explores the sources and mainstreams of European music for the thousand years before the birth of Bach. Enjoy an encore broadcast Mondays at noon.
