The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is joined by international sensation Augustin Hadelich in Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto. Also on the program, Valerie Coleman’s exploration of freedom and unity, Umoja, and Florence Price's Symphony No. 3.
Esa-Pekka Salonen debuts his longtime friend Anders Hillborg’s witty and colorful new Piano Concerto, performed by soloist Emanuel Ax. The program also includes Brahms's Variations on a Theme of Joseph Haydn and Beethoven’s Second Symphony. (Part of the WFMT World Orchestra Series)
