The Dress Circle: Money Songs for Financial Literacy Month

April is the month for many celebrations and observances, and on the last possible day, we’re going to honor one of those observances on this week’s Dress Circle (4/30 7:00 p.m.). Among other things, April is Financial Literacy Month. (It’s also National Pecan Month, but there are far more songs about money than pecans.)

Money seems to be a rather prevalent topic for songs in musicals, so we’ve got more than enough songs for a few programs.

This time, we’ll hear from familiar shows such as “42nd Street,” “Mamma Mia,” “Cabaret,” and “Evita.”

On the lesser-known or forgotten side, we’ve programmed songs from “Coco,” “Darling of the Day,” “Allegro,” “I Can Get It for You Wholesale,” “Call Me Madam” and more.

This week, it’s all about getting, losing, wanting, needing, disregarding, and wishing for money, and we hope you’ll tune in because it won’t cost you a cent!
