The Dress Circle: April Showers

Instead of “April showers” this year, it’s been “April monsoons” for many of us. Never people to not jump on at an opportunity, this week’s Dress Circle (4/14 7:00 p.m.) is going to be looking at some “rain” through songs from the musicals.

Our puddle ducks include the usual familiar and less-familiar shows with the familiar musicals being represented by “The Fantasticks,” “My Fair Lady,” “Les Miserables,” “Funny Girl,” “Grease,” and “Bambi.”

Those shows which might be new to listeners include “110 in the Shade” by Schmidt and Jones, “St. Louis Woman” by Arlen and Mercer, and “Dames at Sea” by Hamson, Miller, and Wise.

We’ll also hear from a British stage version of “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Buddy,” “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert,” and “The Scarlet Pimpernel.”

See what’s up and soon to be coming down on this week’s program because “Soon it’s Gonna Rain.”
