As we were working on a recent program, the idea for a program about some musical dreams came up, and that what we’re going to feature on this week’s Dress Circle (7/21 7:00 p.m.).
We’ve got fifteen “dream songs” from as many musicals on the playlist.
We can promise some optimistic dreams from “Sweet Charity” and “Song of Norway,” and a few wistful ones from “Ziegfeld Girl” and a musical revue of the songs by Johnny Mercer.
Our pensive dream comes from “Copacabana,” and there’ll be a few nostalgic dreams including one from “Sunset Boulevard.”
Of course, we’ll be featuring dreams from a variety of sources, like a Los Angeles musical titled “Freeway Dreams,” that we hope will be new to you.
