“Calendar art” strikes again, and on this week’s Dress Circle (1/12 7:00 p.m.) we’re getting seasonal by looking at songs from stage and screen musicals that have to do with all things winter. We might not be getting too much snow in our area, but this Sunday night, we’ll have enough snow, ice, and cold to make every winter-lover happy.
We’ve done this topic a few times in the past, and we’re including some of the favorites you’ve been kind enough to let us know you love.
We’ll have real snow such as the songs from “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas” (“Vermont must be beautiful this time of year…”) and those poor little “Kittens in the Snow” from “Radio Gals.”
We’ll hear about some allegorical snow with songs from “Wings” and “I Do! I Do!” as well as a “Blizzard” from “Honk!”.
Our menu of winter will include “Cold Feets,” “Snowflakes and Sweethearts,” and a bit of “Ice”!
It’s all in fun as we even include the ritual battle between “Winter and Summer,” a song about the fleeting nature of “April Show,” and more.
Join us this week for a warm evening where we promise there will be no drifts and definitely no shoveling necessary!
