  • We know that spring sprang last month, but it seems as though all of the flowers bloomed around here this week (at least, that’s what our eyes and sinuses have been telling us). Since that’s the case, we thought we’d honor spring springing with a program of “spring” songs on this week’s Dress Circle (4/27 7:00 p.m.).
  • Sometimes, one just needs a place, a special place to find solace and comfort, and we’re going to look at fourteen of our favorite places to escape on this week’s Dress Circle (4/20 7:00 p.m.).
  • Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman were an integral part of the Walt Disney family where they were known simply as “The Boys.” Most people will recognize some of their songs like “It’s a Small World” and “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” but on this week’s Dress Circle (1/19 7:00 p.m.), we’re going to be looking at some of their songs from stage and screen with which listeners might not be familiar or know that they wrote them.
  • “Calendar art” strikes again, and on this week’s Dress Circle (1/12 7:00 p.m.) we’re getting seasonal by looking at songs from stage and screen musicals that have to do with all things winter. We might not be getting too much snow in our area, but this Sunday night, we’ll have enough snow, ice, and cold to make every winter-lover happy.
  • Sadly, we won’t be hearing from any Quokkas on this week’s Dress Circle (12/29 7:00 p.m.) even if they are said to be the happiest animals on the planet, but what we will have is a program of “happy” songs to get you prepared for a Happy New Year.
  • It’s time again for the ghosts to visit, and this year, we’re being visited by some Programs of Christmas Past on this week’s Dress Circle (12/22 7:00 p.m.) as we look at some listener favorites from past programs featuring songs from stage and screen musicals.
  • Many of us miss the days of original musicals generally performed live on television, but on this week’s Dress Circle (12/15 7:00 p.m.), we’re going to give you the chance to relive five of them through selections for their scores.
  • Burt Bacharach has been called “The King of Easy Listening” having amassed 73 Top 40 hits in the U.S. and 52 in the United Kingdom. His songs also appeared in eight productions on Broadway as well as in 772 film and television soundtracks, and on this week’s Dress Circle (9/22 7:00 p.m.) we’re going to look some of them.
  • It's back to school time, so we've turned to musicals from Broadway, London's West End, television, and film for a selection of songs to illuminate several aspects of the happy event.
  • Broadway lovers are all buzzing since it was announced that Kristen Chenoweth would be coming back in a new Stephen Schwartz musical during the 2025-2026 season. Starring opposite F. Murray Abraham, she'll be Jackie Siegel in a musical adaptation of the documentary "The Queen of Versailles" which seems to be about the Siegels and their difficulties in trying to build their $100,000,000 home in Orlando, Florida. To that end, we'll be sampling songs from many of her stage appearances such as "Wicked" as well as a few of her solo CDs.
