The Dress Circle: Spring Has Sprung

We know that spring sprang last month, but it seems as though all of the flowers bloomed around here this week (at least, that’s what our eyes and sinuses have been telling us). Since that’s the case, we thought we’d honor spring springing with a program of “spring” songs on this week’s Dress Circle (4/27 7:00 p.m.).

We dug deep to find some songs with which you may be unfamiliar for this program, and we’ve come up with a wonderful mix once again.

The best-known songs on the program have to be “Younger than Springtime” from “South Pacific” and “Spring, Spring, Spring” from “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.”

However, we’ve populated the playlist with some excellent songs from “The Littlest Revue,” “Music in the Air,” “Summer Holiday,” “Seventeen,” “King David,” and more.

‘Tis the season for the sneezin’, and we’re greeting it with open arms, itchy eyes, and runny noses because there’s not much else we can do. We might as well enjoy some good music along the way.
