We’re revisiting a theme we presented over a decade ago on this week’s Dress Circle (9/21 7:00 p.m.) mainly because there are many new sources from which we can choose. That theme is International Disney, and we’re looking at sixteen selections from a variety of Disney films in fourteen different languages.
Some of the older films we’ll be sampling a song from include “Cinderella,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” and “Pinocchio.”
Those newer films include “Moana,” “Frozen,” “Enchanted,” and “Encanto.”
Some of our favorite numbers include the Maori version of “What Else Can I Do?” and the Tagalog version of “Pain” from “Encanto,” and the Polish version of “Yodle-Adle-Eedle-Idle-Oo” from “Home on the Range.”We also like “Happy Working Song” from “Enchanted” in Japanese.
All of the languages we have this time include: Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian, Hebrew, Hungarian, Greek, Japanese, Polish, Norwegian, Turkish, Tagalog, Maori, and French.
It’s an hour of unfamiliar – familiar music, and we hope you’ll join us this Sunday.
