Celebrate Trenton's jazz tradition! Mercer County Community College and WWFM JazzOn2 will pay tribute to Trenton's rich jazz history in this second annual "Keeping Jazz Alive" at Kerney Hall on the college's James Kerney Campus, 102 N. Broad Street in Trenton.
The college will honor retired MCCC Vice President Dr. Diane Campbell and Mr. Donald Davis, founder of MCCC's Youth College. The evening will include performances by two local bands, New Orleans cuisine, and an exhibit devoted to Trenton native Sarah Dash, a key member of LaBelle and former ambassador of music for the City of Trenton. There is a $10 admission fee (cash only).
This event is part of MCCC's Black History Month observance.
Other event partners include MCCC's Gear-Up program, the NJ Department of Education and the NAACP.
