We did our best to catalogue musicals that opened in New York for which some sort of recordings are available. November’s list has over 200 openings, and on this week’s Dress Circle (11/2 7:00 p.m.), we’re going to be sampling selections from a dozen of those shows spanning 131 years of Broadway history.

It’s Ted’s Turn.As promised, we’re looking at some of Ted’s favorites on this week’s Dress Circle (10/26 7:00 p.m.) that will include three songs from his favorite musical (He actually as one of those.), Stephen Sondheim’s “Follies.”

We’re celebrating the career of composer/lyricist William Finn, whom we lost in April, on this week’s Dress Circle (6/22 7:00 p.m.) with thirteen songs from a variety of his often autobiographical musicals.

Broadway lovers are all buzzing since it was announced that Kristen Chenoweth would be coming back in a new Stephen Schwartz musical during the 2025-2026 season. Starring opposite F. Murray Abraham, she'll be Jackie Siegel in a musical adaptation of the documentary "The Queen of Versailles" which seems to be about the Siegels and their difficulties in trying to build their $100,000,000 home in Orlando, Florida. To that end, we'll be sampling songs from many of her stage appearances such as "Wicked" as well as a few of her solo CDs.
