All are welcome to attend the closing reception for Glenn Rudderow’s “A Life in Art” retrospective exhibition. Glenn Rudderow was a painter of the Delaware Bayshore marshlands for more than 40 years, capturing the spirit and light of the wetlands. His paintings have revealed the early-morning mist rising from the marshes, light reflecting off the tidal waters, and the quiet farmhouses resting across the land. See paintings from his long career and enjoy light refreshments during the closing reception.
This July, Sō Percussion's annual Summer Institute fills two weeks on the Princeton University campus — and spills out into town. From July 5–19, the Sō Percussion Summer Institute (SōSI) brings together emerging composers and percussionists from across the country for an intensive residency with the members of Sō Percussion and guest faculty.
Throughout those two weeks, participants perform a series of concerts at venues across Princeton, all free and open to anyone who wants to come.
Now in its 18th year, SōSI has become one of the country's most distinctive programs for young musicians working at the edges of classical, contemporary, and experimental music. More than 375 alumni have passed through since the program launched in 2009. This summer's guest composition faculty include Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang and Gemma Peacocke, alongside guest artists including percussionists Megan Arns, Ji Hye Jung, Kendall Williams, and Matt Evans. This year's participants come from conservatories and universities across the country — a full list is available at sopercussion.com/education/summer-institute.
This concert features new works by SōSI composers, performed by SōSI percussionists.

The exhibition Through Your Eyes, In My Mind explores the ways in which one’s identity is created through their experiences. Illustrated by a series of personal narratives, the installation examines how self-perception is informed by external forces, such as relationship to mental health, gender identity, or religious background. It showcases works by Mercer County Community College photography students and alumni, inviting viewers to reflect on their own relationship to identity.
Participating artists are Gigi Wilburn, Dani Paglione, Benj Nelson, Elizabeth Barrett, Pepper Smith and Julia Colonna.
An Opening Reception will be held Tuesday June 9.
This is the third show conceived, curated, and installed by the Gallery Club which is lead by its president, Julia Colonna, and currently consists of the artists participating in this show. This show, and the two previous shows, are a testament to the dedication of the gallery club’s members to the artist community of Trenton and to their desire to not only pursue their work, but to also learn the invaluable life-skill of collaborating and forming community, a skill that will serve them well long after MCCC.
The Gallery is open 9 am to 7 pm Monday - Thursday from and Saturday 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday. Closed on Holidays
On July 18th, SoSI participants will be performing all around the town of Princeton for a Day of Sonic Exploration.
