Following their much-loved performance at GatherNYC in 2023 as part of the early music collective Twelfth Night, violinist Rachell Ellen Wong and harpsichordist David Belkovski return to the stage for a charming and intimate recital featuring impeccably performed Baroque gems.

GatherNYC is a revolutionary concert experience founded in 2018 by cellist Laura Metcalf and guitarist Rupert Boyd. The 2025-2026 season includes 31 concerts that run from October 2025 through May 2026, with concerts held every Sunday at 11am in The Theater at MAD.

Guests at GatherNYC are served exquisite live classical music performed by New York’s immensely talented artists, artisanal coffee and pastries, a taste of spoken word, and a brief celebration of silence. The entire experience lasts one hour and evokes the community and spiritual nourishment of a religious service – but the religion is music, and all are welcome. Coffee and pastries are served before each performance at 10:30am.

Sylvan Winds

Performing in historic and culturally significant venues across New York City, the Sylvan Winds create imaginative and informative programs that reflect the character of each space. This program brings together music by Hungarian composers spanning four centuries. An integral part of the city’s cultural life, the Sylvan Winds have earned both critical and audience acclaim for their spirited performances and innovative programming, exploring the rich repertoire of chamber music for winds.

Each time the Ébène Quartet takes the stage at Princeton University Concerts, they leave the audience spellbound, always craving more. Their highly anticipated return—by overwhelming demand—brings a program that showcases the full range of their exceptional artistry. From one of Mozart’s rare string quartets in a minor key, which reveals an emotional depth that would go on to influence generations of composers, to Ravel’s only String Quartet, a groundbreaking work that broke free from traditional forms, and finally Brahms’ String Quartet Op. 51 No. 2, a masterpiece shaped over nearly eight years of meticulous devotion. This program, where passion, innovation, and craftsmanship converge at the highest level, is a powerful testament to the Ébène Quartet’s unparalleled mastery.

Mosaic Youth Chorus (MYC) announces the launch of Troubadours, a new non-auditioned 12 week program serving children in grades 4, 5, and 6. Troubadours will provide instruction in vocal technique, musicianship, ensemble skills, and leadership. MYC provides a nurturing environment where every young person can thrive and express their authentic artistic selves. We focus on giving youth voice and addressing topics of importance to young people. Troubadours provides foundational instruction to start young singers on this journey.

Join folk singer Jessica Carroll at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 for “Jessica Carroll Sings Americana” at the Upper Shores Branch of the Ocean County Library.

Carroll will perform patriotic hymns, Americana folk songs, and share stories about their origins.

New Jersey Symphony

Prokofiev asks for astonishing skill from every musician in his tour-de-force concerto. For his part, Strauss invites the artists to become storytellers in A Hero’s Life. With the New Jersey Symphony, Xian Zhang brings these two epics to life, and all the artists are joined by the young Italian-American violinist Francesca Dego.

Experiential Orchestra (EXO) presents three performances in the seldomly seen Crypt at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. During these concerts, EXO invites audiences to listen deeply in this profound and mysterious setting. The program features Franz Schreker’s Intermezzo, Caroline Shaw’s Punctum for string orchestra, Jessie Montgomery’s Source Code, James Blachly’s Work for Strings, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 132 Mvt 3, Heiliger Dankgesang, arranged by Blachly for string orchestra.

With these concerts, EXO continues its ongoing exploration of the relationship between sound and architecture throughout the Cathedral. Each work on the program was specially chosen for the unique acoustics and atmosphere of the Crypt. The performances are also a homecoming for Blachly – more than 20 years ago, he recorded his first string quartet in this very space.
